About Viewing permissions

Viewing permissions determine which users can see a register item.

This feature applies to:

  • Risk register
  • Incident register
  • Feedback register
  • Documents register
  • Contracts register
  • Records register

 

The Roles field options

Option selected in the 'Roles' field Users who can see the item
All users

All users can see the item on the register

Administrator can see the item on the register

CEO, QM, Managers and Approval Officers

Users with the following permission levels can see the register item:
Approval Officer 
Manager Level 1
Manager Level 2
Manager Level 3
Manager Level 4
Quality Manager
CEO
Plus the Action/Review Officer (if assigned) but only while their task is open and assigned to them. 

Note: the Administrator cannot see this item

CEO, QM, Level 3 and 4 Managers 

Users with the following permission levels can see the register item:
Manager Level 3
Manager Level 4
Quality Manager
CEO
Plus the Action/Review Officer (if assigned) but only while their task is open and assigned to them. 

Note: the Administrator cannot see this item

CEO, QM, and 4 Managers 

Users with the following permission levels can see the register item:
Manager Level 4
Quality Manager
CEO
Plus the Action/Review Officer (if assigned) but only while their task is open and assigned to them. 

Note: the Administrator cannot see this item

CEO, QM and assigned Approval Officer

Users with the following permission levels can see the register item:
Quality Manager
CEO
Plus the Approval Officer selected on the register item.
Plus the Action/Review Officer (if assigned) but only while their task is open and assigned to them. 

CEO and assigned Approval Officer

(This level is optional. Contact LOGIQC for this to be activated)

Users with the following permission levels can see the register item:
CEO
Plus the Approval Officer selected on the register item.
Plus the Action/Review Officer (if assigned)
but only while their task is open and assigned to them.

Note: the Administrator cannot see this item

 

The Users field

The Users field sets which individual user can see the register item IN ADDITION to the users within the roles specified in the Roles field. 

Use case examples:

'The item is extremely confidential and I only want certain people to see it.' 

Select 'CEO, QM and Assigned Approval Officer' in the Roles field and any additional people to see the item in the Users field.

In the above example, the users who would be able to see the register item are:

  • Jack Diamond, CEO
  • Quality Manager.
  • Jennifer Davis, Nurse Manager

Note that Jack is the Approval Officer and he holds the CEO position.
